The New Hampshire Athletic Directors Association recently recognized eight of Goffstown High School's male scholar-athletes for their contributions in the classroom and on the field of competition, while maintaining their status as upstanding members of the community. Front row from left are Bobby Nelson, Peter Raymond and Brian Schilling. Back row from left are Tyler Mudrick, Cory Burall, Billy Ellison and Morgan Peach. Absent from the photo is Andrew Hart. The requirements for recognition included being a high school senior, having a B+ average, lettering in at least two varsity sports and taking part in community service activities. "We're very proud of these guys," said GHS athletics director Howard Sobolov. "They're able to keep their priorities in line, which means maintaining high grades while practicing at a high level in athletics. They give back to the school community. They're very well-rounded young men. In this modern era with so much going on, for them to maintain that high level, that's huge. Those are the type of people who will be successful in this world."
