NewHampshire.com unveils its new design and features
NewHampshire.com has unveiled a new design and features, including an interactive section called Your Neighborhood News. Your Neighborhood News is an online community that allows New Hampshire residents to share the news and information important to them and their neighbors. Every registered user will get a personal Web log (blog) and photo gallery. “We want the people who live in New Hampshire to share the news that’s important to them,” said Katie McQuaid, director of the site. “Traditional news outlets don’t always have space, time or resources to report on your child’s soccer game or dance recital, a problem affecting your neighborhood, or the achievement of a loved one. And, no one can really tell these important stories better than the people who are living them.” Registering to contribute is free, and the first 1,000 people who join will get a free $5 gas card from Irving Oil. Users who have visited New Hampshire.com before will also notice improvements to the events calendar, recreation listings and visitor information pages that have been a staple of the site since its inception in 1999. Affiliated newspapers, including The Hooksett Banner, The Goffstown News, The Bow Times, The Bedford Bulletin and The Salem Observer will also be sharing their news on NewHampshire.com, and will encourage readers to comment on all the important community stories that will be posted to the site each week. NewHampshire.com is owned and operated by Neighborhood News, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Union Leader Corp.
