Locals continue to lead hoopsters at the Tech
New Hampshire Technical Institute split a men’s/women’s doubleheader to Hesser College recently, dropping an 81-80 decision in men’s action despite Central grad Nate Truncellito’s 14 points.
The women easily handled Hesser, 65-43. Concord’s Katherine Little scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds and four blocked shots. Central alumna Jen Roy added 14 points.
The men bounced back with an 87-69 win over Mass Bay Community College. Pembroke’s Chris Barker scored nine points and added six assists, while Jesse Bopp chipped in eight points and four steals.
The men’s team then cruised past Unity College, 95-62, to improve to 18-3 on the season. Truncellito scored 13 points in the lopsided win. Joel Phillips, Matt Spanos and Kevin Harrington also played well for the locals, who opened an early 20-0 lead.
The women crushed Unity College, 97-26, as Goffstown’s Christen Peak scored 17 points and dished six assists. Cathy Murphy led the ladies with 21 markers. Megan Mosher also played well for the Capitals, 9-6 after the win.
