ESC finishes third at state swim meet
The Executive
Swim Club recently completed
its third season by finishing
in third place at the New
Hampshire Swim Association
Championships March 11 to
13 at the University of New
Hampshire's Swasey Pool.
It was the team's second
year in the league; last year's
team placed in sixth. The New
Hampshire Swim Association
features 15 teams from throughout
the state.
"It was great and exciting to
finish three spots higher than last
season," said Allison Balboni,
team coordinator. Executive's
94-member squad competed in
five age groups.
Tim Riddell, 14, won the 500-
yard freestyle, adding thirdplace
finishes in the 200 free
and 100 butterfly.
Alex Colombo, 14, had second-
place finishes in the 100
breaststroke and 200 individual
medley. He was third in the 500
free.
Curran Shane, 14, was third
in the 100 breaststroke.
Shane and Riddell combined
with Steven Jellison and
Dan Nahill to win the 13- and
14-year-old boys 200 medley
relay.
Shane and Colombo combined
with Jellison and Ken Van
Dalsum to win the 200 freestyle
relay in the same age group.
Other area swimmers scoring
points by placing in the
top three were Ryan Brown, 7;
David Delahunty, 10; Tommy
Fortin, 8; Chris Giraldi, 11; Anja
Loderer; and Lucas Pozzetta,
16.
Team members finishing
in the top 10 in their events
included Jessica Corbin, 14;
Chloe Davis, 12; Libby Fortin,
11; Trevor Glassman, 10; Jenay
Graves, 11; Abby Guimont, 8;
Aaron Lauzier, 10; Kristina

and improved in the rankings to

"We swam personal bests
in almost 80 percent of the
swims," said assistant coach
Amy Verreault.
"The team is looking forward
to next year, but also this spring
and summer, where we can continue
to improve stroke- and
time-wise," said head coach
Brian Crawford.
The team trains at the
Executive Health and Sports
Center in Manchester.
