Hooksett hit hard by flooding, area declared disasterMany people throughout the state are still reeling after days of torrential rain wreaked havoc on residences and public infrastructure.
Floods revive memories of 1936Roads closed, bridges washed away and emergency shelters offered displaced people meals and a bed. Rivers raged, embankments vanished and countless emergency workers and volunteers labored tirelessly to bring relief to residents overwrought by the recent floods.
