ALLENSTOWN
Rapist sought
Local 15-year-old was assaulted By Nicholas Brown Allenstown police are after a man with a criminal history in at least four states who’s accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. Police have an arrest warrant for Robert Hanright, 38, of 5 Whitten St., Allenstown. Hanright is accused of felonious sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl on Aug. 1, the day he met her, said Police Chief Shaun Mulholland. Mulholland declined to discuss details related to the alleged assault. Hanright has a criminal record in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Illinois, said Mulholland, which includes a prison escape, assault on a police officer and at least one other sex-related charge. “He has a lengthy criminal history,” said Mulholland. “Most of it is property and drug crimes.” The Merrimack County Attorney’s office has authorized a nationwide extradition, meaning local police could pick up Hanright if he were found in another state. Mulholland said police have gotten tips about sightings of Hanright on Concord and Manchester, but said his location is still unknown. Police said Hanright is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 187 pounds, has blond hair, blue eyes and numerous tattoos on his arms, chest and back. People with information on his whereabouts are urged to call Allenstown police at 485-9500.
